Location: Salomon Farm, 817 W. Dupont Rd., Fort Wayne
Cost: $20

Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic (the Clinic) will host its first annual 5k Race for Justice on June 8 at Salomon Farm Park to support the Clinic’s pro bono legal services and education to low-income individuals in Allen County. Packet pickup begins at 7:30 am and the race will start at 8:30 am.

The event officially sponsored by Barnes & Thornburg, hosted by Brotherhood Mutual Foundation as well as, Bobilya Law Group, Eilbacher Fletcher, Molargik-Fitch Law, and Beckman Lawson will unite members of the Ft. Wayne legal community around a common cause.
To ensure accessibility to services, the Clinic is neighborhood based and continues to add intake sites in distressed neighborhoods in response to community need. In 2007, recognizing the need for pro bono legal service in the Fort Wayne area, the Clinic opened its first branch outside the Indianapolis area. In 2009, the Clinic officially opened a satellite office at the Catherine Kasper Place (formerly the Community Resource Center for Refugees) in Fort Wayne, Indiana, providing legal assistance and education to low income and immigrant families.
Last year, the Clinic served over 500 clients in Fort Wayne through the efforts of the Clinic’s staff and dedicated volunteers. This year, in partnership with volunteer attorneys, the Clinic expects to serve even more of its low income and marginalized neighbors. With proceeds from the Race for Justice, the Clinic will continue to meet the growing legal needs of low-income individuals in Allen County.
