Human trafficking flourishes in the United States. A $32 billion industry, it is driven by
greed as evil men make money from the bruised bodies of others – predominantly young girls.
100,000 children are exploited in our nation every year. How does this happen? How can we
recognize this crime in our own backyard and be a lifeline for others? PeggySue Wells
unveils the secrecy shrouding this modern day slavery and offers hope.
The author of more than a dozen published books, PeggySue Wells is the co-author of The Slave
Across the Street, the true story of an upscale Detroit teenager caught in human trafficking. This riveting view from the inside provides practical tips to help us protect our communities and those we love. In the midst of such a dark topic, Christians are mobilized by the truth that Jesus Christ came to set the captives free. As His hands and feet, there are simple acts each of us can do to make a difference in the life of others.
