Part Time Program Assistant - Youth Worker

Cornerstone Youth Center has 2 openings for Program Assistants. 1 part time, year around. Cornerstone Youth Center, Monroeville, IN 1 part time 3 month position. Now through mid June. New Haven HS. PROGRAM ASSISTANT JOB DESCRIPTION Overview: Through a Christian environment that welcomes all, we provide opportunities for positive moral growth and sustainable life skills development for youth and families in Southeast Allen County. Objective: Assist Program Coordinators of Cornerstone Youth Center to offer quality programming, work with students, parents, and school staff, as well as collect, keep, and report on program progress. Qualifications: Must be organized, accountable, reliable, collaborative, honest and trustworthy. Willingness to keep a flexible schedule depending on program needs. Able to communicate kindly, clearly, and at various levels. Able to communicate concisely and professionally using telephone, text, email, social media and in writing. Able to use office equipment such as computer, copier/fax/scanner, etc. Must be youth friendly, adaptable, tolerant, and appropriate. Have experience with Microsoft Office. Have a clean driving record and agree to background check with BMV check. Able to learn reporting formats and information gathering techniques. Have a good sense of humor. Able to climb stairs. Able to lift at least 25 lbs. Have own reliable transportation with valid driver’s license. HS Diploma or Higher. Obligations: To be able to build healthy relationships with teens as adult mentor. Keep clear, clean, organized, and easy to use records. Be open to diversity and discussing variations in culture. Maintain rules and regulations set forth with regards to food storage and distribution. Willingness to engage in physical and non-physical recreational activities alongside students. Able to write a professional letter, memo, or note. Able to assist in the design of flyers, posters, brochures, pamphlets, postcards, etc. Able to complete quality work on time. Able to keep a tidy work area. Able to work in a team and independently. Ability to work Monday-Friday after school hours and occasional weekends.
