Hi, I’m Shelby Lynn and super excited to be a part of the Star 88.3 team! I hope you enjoy listening as I have so enjoyed growing with .
I’m a small-town girl at heart, grew up in Leo, Indiana and went off to Grace College for a few years before moving back to Fort Wayne, where I finished college at IPFW and married my high school sweetheart. We’ve been married over four years now and I have loved being a wife, turning our house into a home, and cooking for my man! No kids yet...but oh, I can't wait for that!
Before STAR, I had some incredible experiences working at the American Red Cross. As a spokesperson I got to do radio, TV and newspaper interviews, meet the Governor and even work with the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition TV show to put on a huge blood drive at one of their local builds! I left a little bit of my heart with the Red Cross, and I would encourage everyone to give blood, or volunteer, you won’t regret it!
Whenever Nicole Nordeman or Matt Maher comes on I turn up the volume, their authenticity and vulnerability speaks to me every time. Nothing warms my heart, and helps me relax more than a good book and warm drink, especially chai, which I always choose over coffee or tea! Even though I’m not a huge fan of reality TV, I love fashion and always set my TiVO to record “Project Runway”.
My favorite thing about working at Star is the opportunity to speak truth each time I'm on the air, or meeting with you at events. I love that God has given me the opportunity to serve Him with the life story he has given me to tell.
When I’m not at STAR, I can’t get enough of my family and friends. The relationships that I have built over the years mean so much to me, and I love that God has put some awesome people in my life. And, because of that I am looking forward to meeting you, sharing my life with you and sharing the incredible ways that God has saved me, loved me and carried me through the tough stuff!
